The Gospel Project

Songs To Lift Your Spirit!

Australian singer-songwriters Jamey Foxton & Lucy Sugerman present: The Gospel Project, dedicated to reviving old gospel songs and hymns for a new generation.

Inspired by the spirit of artists like Johnny Cash, Joan Baez and Elvis, the duo are breathing new life into timeless hymns and gospel songs that have been the daily soundtrack of generations before us.

Early this year, the couple sat down to play some old gospel favourites in Foxton’s mother's backyard. They filmed a few with no idea they’d just caught lightning in a bottle. This World Is Not My Home went on to garner millions of views and the two continued to make classic gospel go viral again and again (& again), before even releasing a song. Just like that, The Gospel Project was born.

Within months, Foxton & Sugerman surpassed 80 million views on social media, grew a following of over 500,000 and swiftly sold out their first live show in Sydney.

With a gospel album and tour on the way, The Gospel Project is rapidly evolving from a viral online phenomenon into one of Australia's most exciting new live music stories, demonstrating a rare ability to connect deeply across generational lines.
